The Mission

My name is Paul Murden and I have for over 40 years been a practising lawyer in the UK

During that time I have advised people about their homes, children, assets and most importantly their lives.

I am getting older myself of course, and have come to realise that for many people, particularly older ones and those less confident with information technology and the world at large, obtaining information and organising their lives, is not an easy job, and getting professional advice can sometimes be expensive.

So, my mission is to highlight things that need to be done by seniors and find ways of doing it at a  sensible cost.

To bring information and services helping people to organise end-of-life matters including funeral planning, last messages and wills, critical health issues and Digital and information and document storage so that they can be sure when the time comes that the important information needed for their families is easily accessed and clear. Current times and circumstances have highlighted the significance of these things and the problems and unhappiness that can be caused if they are not properly dealt with.

Services indicated on this site such as will writing, funerals, cremations and information storage are provided by reputable companies whose professionalism and credentials are assured.

Please note that we are paid a small commision if you use services through a link on this site

What happens after I'm dead?

You’ll never know but it may not be what you would have liked to have happened. In the old days when your solicitor took instructions for your will he would ask you if you wanted to be buried or cremated or any other particular wishes. Nothing has changed. In fact, it may be pointless putting instructions about how you would like your funeral conducted in your will or a letter of wishes because all too often your funeral gets arranged by family before your will is even looked at by your executors! They may not even know where it is at that time! We can help you solve this.

So you've made a will?

Excellent, virtually everyone should have one. But if you haven’t you should seriously think about it. You may not think that you have enough money to need one but that is not the only consideration. You may have assets,   car, house, jewellery . Who gets these. Kids? Who’s their guardian? Pension fund? Who gets that?

Need a will?

Whether you have a will or not, think about what happens if you can’t manage your own affairs?

A Lasting Power of Attorney, also known as LPA allows you to choose a trusted person now to make decisions on your behalf, about your health, property and financial affairs, so that as such a time arrives in the future when you no longer wish to make those decisions, or you may not be able to make those decisions. It could be a family member, a close friend or someone you trust.

It's your Funeral!

Yes but we can give you the opportunity  to  have the type  of funeral you want, and have said what you wanted  to be heard at your funeral ,to give a message to your family and anyone else who was part of your life, either at your funeral or on some occasion later, whichever you choose. A funeral ceremony may be conducted by a celebrant who knows little or nothing about you other than some jumbled information that they have obtained from a grieving traumatised family a very short time before your funeral. We can stop that happening and make sure that what happens and what is said is what you want.  How? You speak to them yourself! Plan your funeral and leave your message here

You've got a message?

You may want to say a bit more about what you’ve put (or not put!) in your will and why. But it is a legal document and as such, tends to be very limited as to what goes in it You may not even have a will but it does not stop you from leaving things behind you.

You want to say something special, something to your loved ones and friends attending your funeral celebration. You want to tell them what they meant to you and thank them for remembering you.  You may want to tell them that you do not want a funeral celebration. We can help you do that in your own words, your own voice recorded.

You may have photos, small personal effects, mementoes documents and most important, Digital asset access, login details and Pin numbers. You can safely store all that with access only to those you trust
